LANDSCAPE ART

Glass artwork suitable for gifts or home decoration

Glass artwork based upon the undulating and contrasting colours and patterns of The Lincolnshire Wolds.

Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Lincolnshire Wolds have rolling hills, chalk scarps, and fields left patterned from agricultural use separated by hedges and woodland. It is an area I photograph regularly.

I've also produced some scenes based upon The Lake District which I visit anually to hike/walk and photograph the changing colours of the landscape.

Occasionally I use semi-precious metal within my work. Some pieces are double sided and appear differently due to the surface tension of the glass (see photos below). Some

Fused glass pieces are designed to either be hung on a wall using specially supplied fixings, or are supplied with a wooden base so they are freestanding.

Pieces take hours to plan and produce, and they undergo 2-4 separate firings in my kiln, to build up layers ofcolours, patterns and textures.

Dimensions are approximately approximate.

I can also produce stained glass pieces using copper foil and lead techniques - see 'Y Semi A' pictured below.

I welcome the challenge to take on commissions of customer's favourite photos or landscapes - just email me to discuss further. Other shapes such as rectangles/squares for doors or windows are possible.
