JEWELLERY 

Below are examples of hand-made fused glass jewellery I have made. All jewellery comes gift boxed.

Stock

Not all items may be in stock - I do try to update the online store on any items that have sold or are in stock.

It often takes a minimum of 4 weeks to make and fire items as I have to fill the kiln with enough work before firing to get the electricity cost down per piece. I tend to only produce 1 design in a pendant or set of earrings at any time, unless commissioned otherwise.

 

Commissions
You can contact me by email to commission (personalise) customised jewellery pendants and earrings for a loved one or friend.
Different shapes, sizes, and colours are possible. Costs will depend upon the materials (glass, silver etc) and time taken to make the item. I do my best to make items accessible/customisable for all.

Designs

I encapsulate precious metals inbetween 2-3 glass layers including silver shapes to add sparkle and interest. I have amassed a vast range of shapes that can be used including flowers, butterflies, rabbits, cats, dogs, and Christmas themes.

I can also draw & write using silver powders to personalise gifts. Some of my designs are also 2 sided and may show a different colour on the front to that on the reverse e.g. P51 is pink on front and a silver pattern on the back.

Fixings

I use hypoallergenic stainless steel fish/shepherd hooks for drop/dangly earrings, 18" 1.2mm cable chains for pendants, & butterfly fixings for studs as standard. I have replaced silver plated fixings as these tarnish over time. Silver-plated bails are still present on all items. A good quality silver polishing cloth will usually remove any tarnishing. If someone is allergic to silver, I can replace the bail if needed free of charge.

All future made items will use stainless steel bails - these have been quite hard to source.

(Hypoallergenic jewellery means that there is minimal risk of causing an allergic reaction).

Bauble drop/dangly earrings use gold-plated fixings.

Weight
The weight of glass  pendants & earrings has been tested by family members to ensure that they are not uncomfortable to wear. 

The bails I use on pendants are also fairly big so could fit a larger chain if you already own one. For reference the chains I supply are 1.2mm so you can get an idea of the sizes that would fit through the bails judging by my photos.

Senior adaptations

I have obtained some clutch back earring fixings to use with the studs which are easier for people with limited dexterity. The square shapes of some of my stud earrings are also a little bigger for easier handling.

Conversions

If you like an earring design but want it in the form of a pendant I can sometimes convert them for you, please email me.

It may be possible to pick up items locally rather than have to pay postage - this has to be arranged in advance as I work full-time.
